Santa Monica is a coastal city west of downtown Los Angeles. Santa Monica Beach is fringed by Palisades Park, with views over the Pacific Ocean. Santa Monica Pier is home to the Pacific Park amusement park, historic Looff Hippodrome Carousel and Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. Next to the pier is Muscle Beach, an outdoor gym established in the 1930s. In the city center, Bergamot Station houses several art galleries.

The Spring Creek Ranch, owned by the same family for nearly 80 years, is now being offered for sale. Comprised of 10,793± acres of deeded land with predominantly native tallgrasses in the heart of the widely known Kansas Flint Hills, this ranch is a combination cow/calf and stocker cattle operation that was designed to operate at a very efficient level. The ranch has excellent cattle handling facilities and in addition to beef production, the ranch also offers diverse recreational opportunities, some of which can appreciably affect the bottom line. Beautiful Spring Creek runs through the ranch for over seven miles, providing numerous areas of fertile cropland, hay meadows, and stands of hardwood trees in and around the rock-bottom creek with pools of fresh, clear water. There are over 47 ponds and lakes throughout the ranch, including the 70-acre Big Lake and the 14-acre Niles Lake, plus Cabin Lake where the native stone lodge sits on the water’s edge.

Highway 50, through Northern Nevada, was named the loneliest road in America by Life Magazine. Since then, it has become an unofficial tourist attraction in the state and a fun road trip if you are looking to experience Nevada’s raw beauty. This drive follows the old Pony Express route and the Lincoln Highway as it traverses across the state. My dad and I set out to drive the route over 3 days, and here is our road trip that includes ghost towns, rail yards, ancient trees, and haunted hotels.

This is a timelapse film that depicts various parts of Japan in 12K (11520×6480 resolution). In order to achieve 12K resolution, we used various shooting methods, new workflows, and a lot of trial and error, and it took a long time to produce the film.
But even more than that, the COVID-19 made timelapse photography extremely difficult. 8K is the highest resolution, but the so-called “oversampling effect” made I feel that 12K images can be expressed in higher resolution. Although 12K is not yet an official standard, we will continue to work on further visualization as a new visual expression.
The white blanket of France’s eastern Jura Mountains stretches out for 340 kilometres along the Swiss border. Trekking across this wilderness is an unforgettable journey. We follow a small group of cross-country skiers for a three-day hike through pine trees, frozen lakes, gentle slopes and sunny peaks. At night we stop off at a chalet to sample rösti, a local Jura specialty. At the Franco-Swiss border, we discover a passage where Resistance fighters and Jews risked their lives to flee occupied France between 1941 and 1945.
